Travel Superintendent – Luxury Commercial Construction (100% Travel - Florida-Based Candidates Preferred)

Location: South East Region

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with at least 5 years in luxury commercial construction to lead daily operations for high-end projects nationwide. This role could include working on projects for top brands such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gucci, and Balenciaga, and is responsible for ensuring Sullivan’s high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction are met on every project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and schedule subcontractors, laborers, and on-site personnel to ensure projects meet timelines, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Maintain site safety, enforce compliance with procedures and regulations, and document any violations with corrective actions.
  • Represent Sullivan’s values while fostering a professional, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure the use of current construction documents and assist in clarifying drawings between architects, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Maintain daily project records, including job logs, safety meetings, and material tracking.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met; address non-compliance promptly.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays or conflicts, and implement strategies to maintain progress.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to align on start times, delays, and scheduling updates.
  • Assist project management with status verification for pay applications and progress tracking.
  • Perform light punch-list repairs, including drywall patching and painting, as needed.
  • Verify field dimensions using laser levels and tape measures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury commercial construction; high-end retail preferred.
  • Strong ability to lead on-site teams and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting construction documents and schedules.
  • Proficient with basic construction tools and technology platforms for reporting and communication.
  • Solid understanding of current construction practices, safety protocols, and building codes.
  • Capable of balancing multiple priorities and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal building regulations.
  • Willing and able to travel 100% of the time

Additional Information:
  • Must be physically capable of navigating active construction sites and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Work involves exposure to weather, heights, dust, and mechanical equipment.
