Salary: up to 85k + commission

Location: Fort Lauderdale & Miami areas

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Service Estimator to evaluate commercial roofing systems, prepare accurate repair and maintenance estimates, and produce customer-ready proposals. The estimator will perform on-site inspections, assess damage, define project scope and materials, and work closely with sales, operations, and production teams to deliver cost-effective solutions that protect building assets and support long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough on-site inspections of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, modified EPDM, built-up, metal, EDGE and other assemblies) to assess condition, damage, and maintenance needs.
• Develop detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for service repairs, maintenance programs, and reroofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractor pricing.
• Create clear, professional proposals and scope-of-work documents that outline recommended repairs, projected timelines, and cost breakdowns for customers and internal review.
• Document findings with photos, sketches and inspection reports, and maintain accurate records in the company CRM and project management tools.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field crews to verify site conditions, reconcile pricing, and refine project scopes to align with production capabilities.
• Identify and recommend appropriate roofing systems and repair methods based on substrate, roof condition, warranty considerations, and budget constraints.
• Monitor and update estimates for change orders and unplanned damage discovered during repairs; provide timely revisions to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, manufacturer installation requirements, and company safety standards; participate in job site safety reviews when required.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations to represent the company and clarify technical questions related to roofing systems and repairs.
• Continuously update technical knowledge on roofing products, installation techniques, and industry best practices to improve estimating accuracy and service offerings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial roofing service and repair projects, or equivalent combination of field and estimating experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, modified EPDM, built-up roofing, metal roofing..
• Proven ability to perform on-roof inspections, identify damage, document conditions, and translate findings into accurate scope and pricing.
• Experience preparing material takeoffs, labor estimates, and professional proposals; familiarity with common estimating software and spreadsheets.
• Proficiency using CRM systems to log leads, proposals, and project information; ability to maintain accurate, timely records.
• Knowledge of roofing repair techniques, maintenance programs, flashing details, and manufacturer warranties.
