The Senior Estimator is responsible for assembling large dollar bid proposals, managing Estimator(s) during proposal development, following up and negotiating with clients to close the deal, and providing ongoing cost estimate support to operations for awarded contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provides guidance to Estimators
- Oversees and completes quantity survey take‑off
- Oversees and contacts vendors and subcontractors
- Prepares pricing, bids, and proposals
- Completes post‑bid activities
- Executes transition from pre‑construction to operations
- Supplies cost estimates of changes during construction
- Ensures a safe work environment
- Participates in training and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university and six years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
