Looking for an opportunity to lead field operations, keep complex construction projects moving, and build strong relationships across the Miami market? Our client, a leader in the elevator industry, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team and oversee new installation projects across the Miami market.
What You’ll Do:Field Operations & Team Support
- Supervise and support construction field employees by providing day-to-day direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Direct elevator installation activities and coordinates manpower, materials, tools, and subcontractor needs to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Conduct regular crew and jobsite visits to monitor project progress, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Use job performance and accounting reports to identify project risks, profitability concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate project schedules, materials, and field needs with internal teams, subcontractors, and other project partners.
- Review project documentation and approvals while maintaining strong working relationships with general contractors, owners, consultants, and architects.
- Administer and enforce company safety standards, including participation in safety audits and training.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
- Stay current on company procedures, equipment updates, supplier information, and applicable construction requirements.
- Management
Experience:
5+ years of proven leadership experience a field service, construction, commercial contracting, or similar environment. - Commercial Construction Experience
:
Strong experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects within a general contracting, ground-up construction, or complex specialty trades environment. - Relationship Building & Communication
Skills:
Confident communicator who can build credibility with field teams, general contractors, customers, and internal teams while effectively managing expectations and supporting demanding projects. - Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical documents, diagrams, construction plans, and project specifications.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with strong judgment and the ability to identify project risks, anticipate challenges, make decisions independently, and consistently follow through on commitments.
- Additional Qualifications: Relevant experience may come from the vertical transportation industry or a strong commercial construction background, including new installation, ground-up construction, field operations, subcontractor management, or trade coordination. Familiarity with the Miami/Fort Lauderdale construction market and local contractors is a plus.

Relevant backgrounds include elevator/vertical transportation, large commercial GCs, specialty contractors, and similar construction environments with experience in new installation, ground-up construction, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, quality, and jobsite execution.
