We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage field operations on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and hands-on experience managing subcontractors, crews, schedules, and jobsite safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations and coordinate all onsite construction activities.
- Supervise subcontractors, trades, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor construction progress and identify potential schedule or quality issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients.
- Track project milestones and communicate progress, delays, and field issues to project management.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, building codes, and company standards.
- Assist with resolving field conflicts and construction-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience, with proven experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.
- Must have hands-on experience with concrete, framing, or masonry.
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field crews.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial, industrial, multifamily, or large-scale construction experience.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction software.
