Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a Project Engineer on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County, Florida. This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville District’s history. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. This project offers potential Project Team members a valuable opportunity to broaden their professional experience and advance their careers throughout its duration.

The CEPP plays a vital role in Everglades restoration, aiming to enhance ecosystem health, improve water storage, and increase resilience to climate change.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will work primarily on night shift and will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, QC personnel, and Soil Cement Team to support daily production and construction activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with soil cement operations and heavy civil construction and be comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Soil Cement Project Manager.

• Serve as a key member of the Soil Cement Team, providing engineering and project support for daily soil cement construction operations.
• Work primarily on night shift to support soil cement production, placement, and field operations.
• Monitor daily soil cement activities to ensure production, quality, and schedule requirements are being met.
• Assist with coordinating and documenting soil cement production, placement, materials, equipment, and field activities.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate documentation of soil cement operations and production quantities.
• Monitor daily work activities and assist with production and schedule tracking.
