Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in providing compassionate support to clients seeking mental health services. This position involves handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting clients with various needs while maintaining a sensitive and empathetic approach.

Daily Tasks:
  • Client Communication: Answer incoming calls, emails, and messages from clients seeking information about services. Provide clear and accurate information regarding mental health programs, services, and resources.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient transportation. Ensure that clients receive reminders about upcoming appointments.
  • Support and Guidance: Offer empathetic support to clients, addressing their concerns and questions with care. Assist clients in navigating the mental health system and accessing appropriate services.
  • Billing and Insurance Assistance: Assist clients in understanding their billing statements and resolving any related issues.
  • Crisis Management: Recognize signs of crisis and respond appropriately, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Escalate urgent matters to appropriate clinical staff as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with billing area and mental health professionals to facilitate smooth communication and service delivery.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather client feedback on services received to enhance quality and satisfaction. Report trends or concerns to management for ongoing improvement.
Experience
  • Bilingual:
    English & Spanish or Creole
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software and electronic health records.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare or mental health settings
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
