Creates wireframes, concepts, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs to effectively communicate design solutions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering and research, and others to ensure design solutions meet business and user needs and collaborates closely with research and contributes to research strategy. Responsible for running quick research experiments to inform design decisions. Advocates the role of design in the development process and understands business goals in regard to the product area.

Works to broaden product and domain expertise. Receives, weighs, and integrates diverse feedback from a multi-disciplinary team. Presents designs in a clear, confident, and concise manner to diverse audiences. Able to explain rationale for design decisions within a larger context and regularly communicates project status and shares design iterations. Will assist junior designers by providing guidance and feedback on design work.

Stays up-to-date with design and technology trends and best practices.

Must have a Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Communication Design, Animation and Visual Effects Design or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Product Designer-related occupation.

Alternatively, may have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Communication Design, Animation and Visual Effects Design or related technical field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Product Designer-related occupation. months of experience in 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Product Designer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:
Figma;
User experience (UX) design including understanding UX principles and methodologies including user centered design, user research, wire framing, and prototyping;
User interface (UI) design including knowledge of UI design principles, visual design, typography, color theory, and layout;
Interaction design including micro-interactions, animations, transitions, and responsive design; usability testing methods and ability to conduct user research sessions, analyze user feedback, and iterate on design based on user insights;
Information architecture;
Sketching; and creating interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts using tools such as Figma or Axure
