We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Architect to join a highly collaborative architecture and construction team. This individual will be responsible for leading the technical development and execution of complex healthcare projects, working closely with project managers, designers, consultants, and construction teams from design through construction administration.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical architecture expertise with leadership skills and is comfortable working within a highly integrated, technology-driven project delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams through documentation, BIM modeling, quality control, and consultant coordination
  • Perform ongoing document quality control reviews and resolve technical project issues
  • Evaluate, select, coordinate, and detail building systems
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop project plans, milestone schedules, staffing requirements, and budgets
  • Collaborate with construction teams on cost estimating, sequencing, constructability, and project execution
  • Work closely with Project Designers to translate the overall design vision into technically sound documentation
  • Develop and coordinate building envelope details and interior building systems
  • Apply applicable zoning, building, life safety, accessibility, and energy codes
  • Assist with the development and coordination of project manuals and specifications
  • Lead and/or delegate construction administration responsibilities
  • Research building systems, materials, and technical solutions
  • Mentor and train junior architectural staff
  • Contribute to continuing education, lessons learned, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant architectural experience
    , with healthcare project experience strongly preferred
  • Professional architectural registration required
  • Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the technical aspects of projects from design development through construction
  • Strong understanding of building systems, detailing, consultant coordination, and construction documentation
  • Experience coordinating with construction teams and understanding constructability and project costs
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building and life-safety codes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
