Seeking a Traveling Physician for Medical Training / Any Location

- Position Status: Flexible / Traveling 25 - 35 weeks a calendar year
- Salary : $ base annual salary
- Bonuses:
- After 265 participants have been trained in a year, receive $450 per participant trained.
- “Out of town” bonus of $500 per week for each week out of town after 10th week.
- $200 per day for each day worked in excess of the 50th working day each calendar year. (Travel days do not count as actual work days unless a training session is conducted on a travel day).
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct E&M coding training to providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, other medical providers). Coding covers office visits.
- Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes.
- Typically a minimum of 4 providers per session.
- Conduct 3 to 5 sessions per day.
- 30 days after initial training, conduct a follow-up review of charts. At least 3 charts per provider reviewed.
- 60 days after initial training, conduct Review #2, a second chart review to reinforce training.
- Qualifications:
- Required to be a licensed physician in good standing. Does not have to be practicing.
- Must be flexible regarding training schedule and traveling; expect to travel 25–35 weeks a calendar year.
- Medical experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics desired.
- Experienced physician; suitable candidate may be a current physician leaving practice, retired, or considering retirement.
- May be required to attend presentations with sales staff to follow-up or close potential training opportunities.
- Skill Set:
- Articulate – good presence and easy to get along with.
- Good storyteller – can capture an audience, articulate past experiences into an interesting story.
- Good organizational skills.
- Always willing to learn.
- Able to manage through conflict and teach others how to manage through conflict.
- Relationship builder.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; can get along with anyone.
- Onboarding:
- Observe a training program prior to hiring.
- Complete a minimum 3‑month onboarding process before first training session.
- Presentations as though conducting a training session.
- Work with each trainer and observe training and reviews.
- One to two sessions with current trainers critiquing.
- Conduct mock training sessions.
