We are seeking an energetic, dedicated, and passionate Elementary Spanish Teacher (K-5) to join our instructional faculty at Bridge Prep Academy of Osceola. Partner with us in delivering our flagship extended Spanish language program! In this role, you will bring language and culture to life for young learners, creating a vibrant, student-centered classroom environment that fosters early language acquisition, cultural appreciation, and academic growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Engaging Spanish Instruction: Plan, internalize, and deliver standards-aligned daily Spanish lessons tailored to K-5 students, incorporating interactive games, songs, storytelling, and cultural units.

Classroom Culture & Routines: Establish consistent routines and implement Bridge Prep’s school wide behavior management system with fidelity, cultivating a safe, joyful, and respectful learning space.

Differentiated Learning: Adapt instruction and learning activities to support diverse learners, including ELLs, ESE students, and intervention groups.

Data & Assessment: Utilize formative assessments to track language acquisition progress, update grade books weekly, and pivot instruction to meet learning goals.

Family Partnership: Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, building trust-based relationships across the school community.

Professional Integration: Participate in weekly check-ins, department meetings, before/after-school duties, and ongoing network professional development.

MEASURABLE YEAR 1 SUCCESS METRICS

70%+ of elementary students demonstrate target grade-level mastery in Spanish language standards.

Classroom culture aligns with school wide behavior expectations with minimal discipline referrals.

Achieve "Highly Effective" ratings on professionalism indicators (punctuality, timely lesson plan and data submissions).

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.

Certification: Valid or eligible Florida Teaching Certification in Spanish (K-12 or World Languages).

Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English.

Compliance: Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Preferred:

Prior experience teaching elementary Spanish or world languages in a public or charter school setting.

Master's Degree in Spanish, Foreign Language Education, or Elementary Education (eligible for salary supplement).
