The Controls Engineer will have responsibility for the design, integration, and test of data acquisition systems associated with gas turbine engines and components. The engineer will be implementing control theory and control systems software for test equipment and rigs.
Essential Job Functions- Applies knowledge of electronic control systems to engine and engine component tests.
- Designs and assists in the development of new electromechanical systems and prototypes.
- Responsible for interpreting requirements, building data acquisition and control architectures, developing LabVIEW VI and control software, supporting testing and validation of products and prototypes.
- Create, test, and validate the LabVIEW based control and VI for the command and control center.
- Support the design and development of the test instrumentation, integration, and data acquisition systems.
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
