Our Southeast Transportation team supports some of the most complex transportation programs in the industry, helping clients deliver safe, reliable, and efficient mobility solutions. As we continue to expand our support across major rail and transit initiatives, we are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to help drive performance, improve processes, and ensure the successful execution of ongoing projects.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting project execution by providing accurate data, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll partner with technical, operations, and management teams to ensure cost, schedule, and performance information is reliable, timely, and actionable; helping our clients meet their operational and strategic goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide project controls support across rail and transit projects, including planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor work breakdown structures, cost breakdown structures, and project schedules.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly cost and schedule data; identify variances and support mitigation recommendations.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc project reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal teams and client leadership.
  • Support change management by identifying potential scope changes, tracking trends, and contributing to cost/schedule impact assessments.
  • Assist with integrating project cost and schedule data with internal management and accounting systems.
  • Coordinate document control or configuration management activities as needed to support project controls functions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and standardization.
  • Support project managers, field teams, and client stakeholders with data requests, analysis, and documentation.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of project controls principles, including cost management, scheduling, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience working with project controls tools such as Excel, scheduling software (Primavera P6 or similar), or cost management systems.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Experience supporting rail, transit, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and risk analysis techniques.
  • Experience with change management processes, cost forecasting, or trend analysis.
  • Knowledge of document control systems, configuration management, or project management information systems.
  • Prior experience supporting client-facing roles or large multidisciplinary project teams.
