North America Pipeline Design Senior Engineer
RINA is currently recruiting for a North America Pipeline Design Senior Engineer to join its office within the Plant Engineering Division.
MissionThe Senior Piping Engineer leads Patrick’s piping design program by overseeing and performing engineering design work on natural gas, petroleum, power, and industrial facilities, and related structures to meet client and industry specifications. The Senior Pipeline Design Engineer will train and mentor staff and manage subconsultant design work.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee and conduct planning and design of natural gas, hydrocarbon, compressed air, steam, condensate, and water piping and related facilities.
- Understand and apply client and industry engineering specifications to projects.
- Develop and mentor technical staff.
- Interact with client’s management and engineering department to facilitate project efforts.
- Project management and supervisory support.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in new business development activities – developing proposals, conducting client presentations, exploring opportunities for additional revenue and projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
- 10+ years of experience in detailed facility and piping design.
- Professional Licensed Engineer or the ability to obtain a PE license required.
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering practices.
- Thorough understanding of Piping Codes including B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8.
- In-depth knowledge of technical specifications for bidding documents.
- Familiarity with resource management and scheduling.
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering including AutoCAD required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Physical DemandsMedium work: exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer (fine motor skills, visual acuity) and frequent use of telephone (talking, hearing)
Working ConditionsThe position requires work to be conducted at field projects and in an office environment. While in the field the worker may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Additional environmental conditions may vary by job site.
