We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager with a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead electrical engineering operations within an MEP design environment. This leadership role involves overseeing electrical system design, project execution, and technical coordination for residential and commercial real estate developments, including high-rise structures.
The ideal candidate brings extensive MEP electrical engineering experience, strong project management ability, and proficiency in Revit and CAD-based design tools. This position will be responsible for guiding electrical department activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering design and project management for commercial, institutional, and real estate development projects.
- Oversee electrical system design from conceptual development through construction administration.
- Prepare, review, and approve electrical drawings, load calculations, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering work with internal teams, architects, and external consultants.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering staff within the department.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with NEC requirements and applicable building codes.
- Support client communication, design reviews, and construction administration activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in MEP electrical design and engineering project management.
- Active Florida PE license required.
- Strong experience using Revit and CAD software for electrical design in residential and commercial real estate projects.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and electrical system regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex projects.
