Position: Service Engineer (m/f/d) Navigation

Position

We are now looking for a Service Engineer (m/f/d) Navigation to join our team in Weston, Florida. In this intermediate-level role, you will be responsible for performing electronic repairs, commissioning, and maintenance of navigation systems onboard vessels. The position requires a solid technical background, hands‑on problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work confidently with customers both in shipyards and onboard operational vessels.

Regular travel within America (and occasionally beyond) should be expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electronic repairs and maintenance of marine navigation equipment onboard vessels
  • Execute commissioning and field service tasks in accordance with project work plans
  • Conduct functional tests, troubleshooting, adjustments, and system verifications
  • Support installation work and perform pre‑commissioning checks as needed
  • Document all work performed and prepare clear, accurate service reports
  • Collaborate with shipyards, shipowners, classification societies, and internal departments
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with NACOS Marine Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental guidelines
  • Promote available solutions and provide technical guidance to customers when appropriate
Key Requirements
  • Technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, or marine systems, ideally within the maritime industry
  • Experience working with shipborne electronic or navigation equipment
  • Ability to read and understand electronic and electrical documentation
  • Hands‑on, structured, and solution‑oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with customers
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwide
