• Review MEP design documents such as drawings, specifications, Owner's Project Requirements, and Basis of Design to evaluate energy efficiency.
• Perform measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro-commissioning.
• Provide, prepare, and develop Pre-Functional and Functional Testing forms in compliance with green building practices.
• Collect data for energy conservation analyses using jobsite observation, field inspections, or submetering.
• Conduct periodic site visits for observation and acceptance of pre-Functional tests.
• Inspect or monitor energy systems, including HVAC, to determine energy use or potential savings.
• Carry out Functional Tests (FT) of MEP equipment on site to verify proper installation of new or relocated HVAC equipment per green building practices.
• Prepare energy-related project reports and documentation.
• Prepare documents such as Current Facility Requirement (CFR), Operation and Maintenance (O&M) plan, Systems Manual, Ongoing Commissioning (Cx) plan, and Cx summary report.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and at least two years of commissioning experience in the building industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, Blue Rithm, and Building Management Systems from at least two years of work experience.
• Demonstrated ability using an infrared thermometer and light meter from at least two years of work experience.
• Ability to perform peer reviews of construction documents, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings from at least two years of work experience.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues during field observations and communicate with owner or contractor from at least two years of work experience.
• Must have LEED AP certification or be eligible to be certified by Green Business Certification Inc.
• All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
• Telecommuting is an option, but the individual must be in-office three days per week and reside in the Fort Lauderdale region.
• No more than eight days of domestic travel per year.
