As a Ports & Maritime Structural Engineer based in Miami, FL, you’ll join a connected global team united by a shared purpose—delivering smarter, more resilient, more sustainable solutions for our clients and communities. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of waterfront and marine infrastructure throughout Florida, the Southeast, and beyond.
What You’ll Do- Perform structural analysis and design of marine and waterfront structures in accordance with industry codes and standards.
- Prepare structural calculations, design reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support the development of cost estimates, construction schedules, and bid documents.
- Lead or contribute to condition assessments, field investigations, and construction support services.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, contractors, clients, and agencies/stakeholders.
- Assist with proposal development, presentations, and client engagement activities.
- Manage tasks or small projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met.
- Contribute to innovation, sustainability, and resilience strategies within the ports and maritime practice.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering with an emphasis on concrete and steel structures.
- Working knowledge of ACI, AISC, AASHTO, and seismic design requirements for marine structures.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software and familiarity with AutoCAD, Micro Station, and/or Revit.
- Understanding of building codes and concrete, steel, and timber design principles.
- Experience preparing construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and smaller scale projects.
- Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering with an emphasis on concrete and steel structures.
- Experience in port and maritime infrastructure design, operations, or planning.
- Fieldwork and construction-phase services experience.
- Background in the design, rehabilitation, or construction oversight of marine structures.
- Experience working with port authorities, terminal operators, or transportation agencies.
- Familiarity with international standards such as Eurocode or British Standards.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $.
