Avionics Technician I
Location: On‑Site, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Employment Type: Temp to direct

Compensation: $35‑$40/hr
Schedule- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Sun‑Wed or Wed‑Sat)
Performs avionics and electrical systems maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations. Troubleshoots, tests, repairs and installs avionics components such as aircraft communication, navigation, radar, and electronic instrument systems. Operates and maintains test equipment and trade‑associated tools.
What You’ll Do- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Install, modify, and fabricate wiring harnesses, cables, and electronic components using technical drawings and specifications
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions, sourcing required parts as needed
- Execute functional, operational, and serviceability testing using specialized equipment to validate system performance
- Complete maintenance documentation and ensure all work meets FAA‑approved procedures, OEM standards, and quality requirements

What You’ll Bring- High School/GED
- Minimum 1 year of professional flight control/avionics technician experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working directly on aircrafts
- Minimum 1 year of depot‑level aircraft avionics experience (repair of electrical systems, flight control systems, instrumentation and wiring)
- Business or executive jet experience
- FAA Repairman Certificate (Avionics)
- FCC License
- Proficiency with interpretation of avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, harness fabrication, cables, fittings, circuits and connectors
- Prior experience in executive jet repair facility
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures
- Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA‑approved work package instructions; ability to inspect and install parts/components
