Job Title:

Avionics Technician

This role focuses on performing avionics installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on corporate aircraft within a fast-paced repair station environment. The primary focus is on Gulfstream aircraft and other corporate jets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform avionics installations on corporate aircraft, with a strong focus on Gulfstream models and other corporate jets such as Cessna Citation, Learjet, Phenom, and Bombardier aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot avionics systems, wiring, and electronic components to identify and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Carry out repairs and overhaul tasks on aircraft avionics systems in accordance with aviation standards and repair station procedures.
  • Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to support installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Work on a variety of aircraft types, including corporate jets, helicopters, and military aircraft, applying broad avionics experience to diverse platforms.
  • Use personal tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete avionics installation and repair assignments.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel in an open‑air hangar environment to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, and quality control procedures while performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) tasks.
  • Support shift coverage needs, including working 1° shift and overtime as required, and transitioning to 2° shift operations after training.
  • Document work performed in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements, ensuring accurate records of installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of avionics experience.
  • A&P License required.
  • Hands‑on experience with avionics troubleshooting, including electronics, wiring, and systems diagnostics.
  • Experience with avionics installation on corporate aircraft and corporate jets.
  • Strong familiarity with Gulfstream aircraft;
    Gulfstream experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working on platforms such as Gulfstream, Cessna Citation, Citation Jet, Learjet, Phenom, and Bombardier aircraft.
  • Ability to work effectively in an MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) environment.
  • Capability to interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and avionics schematics.
  • A willingness to work 1° shift and overtime as required.
  • Ability to use and maintain personal tools necessary for avionics work.
  • Comfort working in an open‑air hangar environment.
  • A willingness to train on 1° shift and transition to a 2° shift schedule.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Corporate jet experience preferred.
  • Open to candidates with military aircraft avionics experience.
  • Open to candidates with corporate aircraft or helicopter avionics experience.
  • Experience in repair and overhaul of aviation electronics and avionics systems.
  • Experience in aviation maintenance environments with exposure to multiple aircraft platforms.
Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $38.00 - $55.00/hr.

Work Environment

The role is based in an open‑air hangar environment focused on maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of corporate aircraft. Initial training takes place on 1° shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, followed by a transition to a newly created 2° shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am on the same day patterns. The work environment is fast paced and hands‑on, with technicians expected to use their own tools while adhering to safety and quality standards.
