Position SummaryWe are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical services and engineering solutions to maritime and industrial customers. This role involves diagnosing equipment issues, performing engineering analyses, supporting reliability improvements, and working directly with customers to solve complex rotating machinery problems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in marine or mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with rotating equipment diagnostics and alignment technologies.
Key Responsibilities Engineering & Technical Support- Diagnose and troubleshoot rotating machinery and equipment issues.
- Perform equipment inspections, condition monitoring, and diagnostic testing.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate equipment performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
- Analyze equipment trends, maintenance history, and operational data.
- Apply engineering principles to solve mechanical and operational challenges.
Perform or support services such as:
- Laser alignment
- Vibration analysis
- Dynamic balancing
- Optical alignment
- Prepare professional technical reports and recommendations.
- Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and project updates to customers and management.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Follow up with customers regarding service recommendations and project outcomes.
- Present technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Support training initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance best practices.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal personnel and customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

- Ultrasonic inspection
- Motor current analysis
- Knowledge of machinery design, repair, and maintenance practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
This position may require:
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and extended periods of walking.
- Working in industrial and marine environments.
- Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–50% of the time.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Valid passport and ability to maintain international travel eligibility.
