The Movable Bridge Business Unit of Modjeski and Masters is seeking a CAD Technician with 0‑4 years of experience. This position is primarily based in Mechanicsburg, PA;
Philadelphia, PA; or Fort Lauderdale, FL. Alternative locations may be considered on a case‑to‑case basis including fully remote.
- 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience is preferred, not required
- Entry level with no experience may be considered
- Knowledge of Micro Station and AutoCAD drafting software
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software (Preferred)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
- Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
- Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting and Design (Preferred)
- Assist with the development of 3D design models
- Draft plans and detailed drawings for transportation projects such as bridges and highways, working from discussions, sketches, or notes
- Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures
- Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to develop contract plans
- Correlate and interpret data obtained from topographical surveys and borings reports
- Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods
- Maintain technically current methodologies
- Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks
- Calculate Pay Item quantities
- Perform additional tasks, assignments, and duties
