K ’s National Security Solutions team delivers advanced engineering and technology solutions to the intelligence and national security communities. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting national security by designing and optimizing defense systems that support the Department of War (DoW) and its acquisition community.
Role OverviewYou will work with the JMETC user‑support team on the TRMC Digital Engineering project, establishing a Digital Engineering environment named Golden Forge for the DoW. Your responsibilities include collaborating with distributed teams to develop requirements, lead program‑level planning, and implement the necessary artifacts for digital engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools across DoW enterprises. You will serve as the technical liaison among end users, application developers, and senior leadership within the DoW and the broader Mission Engineering, Systems Engineering, Test, and Training communities.
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate technical support for Test Resource Management Center Data Strategy with military, civil service, and contractor personnel.
- Identify, screen, and prioritize opportunities to optimize resource utilization by defining requirements, developing specifications, and establishing timelines and milestones.
- Act as a technical leader to set goals and objectives for operations, making data‑driven decisions to improve customer and company results.
- Work closely with OUSD (R&E), TRMC, and other DoW acquisition programs to enable cost‑effective integration of live, virtual, and constructive entities.
- Support JMETC, TENA, and CHEETAS initiatives in testing systems‑of‑systems applications within realistic joint mission constructs.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including:
- Communicating best practices across an organization.
- Hands‑on experience with MBSE.
- Collaboration with OUSD (R&E) and TRMC, and knowledge of military or space acquisition programs.
- Project management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following:
Digital Engineering; testing and training; strategic relations; joint testing and training; test event operation, planning and analysis;
DoD programs and acquisition process; enterprise software development; and computer operating environments.
