Needed Immediately: CAD Designer in Fort Pierce, FL. The CAD Designer II is a mid-level drafting and modeling role responsible for developing coordinated 3D plant models, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and supporting multidisciplinary design tasks. This role requires a solid understanding of AutoCAD Plant 3D, P&IDs, piping layouts, and drafting standards. The CAD Designer II works more independently, supports design decisions, and provides guidance to Level I designers.
Required:
3–5 years of CAD design experience (preferably water, wastewater, or industrial). Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D including equipment modeling, piping, and orthographic creation. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, general arrangements, and piping plans. Strong understanding of piping materials and basic instrumentation devices. Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
Experience with yard piping layouts and pipeline profiles. Exposure to Navisworks or similar coordination tools. Experience supporting fabrication, construction, or field installation teams.

- Update and maintain P&IDs based on engineering inputs.
- Support yard piping layouts and preliminary pipeline profile drawings.
- Model piping systems using multiple materials (PVC, HDPE, SS, DI).
- Apply correct valve types, fittings, pressure classes, and line annotations.
- Identify routing issues and propose solutions to senior designers or engineers.
- Incorporate standard details into drawings to ensure constructability.
- Place and annotate instrumentation devices per P&IDs and engineering directives.
- Coordinate with I&E designers to ensure accurate cable routing and panel interfaces.
- Generate accurate tag lists and instrument location plans.

- Coordinate regularly with process, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
- Support field teams with drawing clarifications and minor as-built updates.
- Support senior designers and engineers with model reviews, clash checks, and design coordination meetings.
- Mentor and support CAD Designer I staff in drafting fundamentals and standards compliance.
- Track drawing revisions, ensure completeness of drawing packages, and assist with transmittals.
