A well-established MEP engineering firm in the Fort Lauderdale area is looking for a Lead Plumbing Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing engineer who wants to take ownership of projects and play a key role in a strong South Florida MEP practice.
What You’ll Do:- Lead the design of plumbing systems for commercial, residential, institutional, and high-rise projects
- Manage plumbing projects from concept through construction administration
- Design domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, and specialty plumbing systems
- Develop plumbing plans, specifications, calculations, and construction documents
- Perform technical reviews and coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams
- Work directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Help drive project quality, schedules, and client satisfaction
- 7+ years of plumbing MEP engineering/design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- PE license strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of building plumbing systems and applicable codes
- Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Previous project leadership and mentoring experience
Strong communication and client-facing skills - South Florida project experience is a plus
