Senior Electrical MEP Engineer – Fort Lauderdale, FL
South Florida MEP Engineering Firm | Senior Electrical Engineer
A well-established MEP engineering firm in the Fort Lauderdale area is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team and work on a variety of commercial building projects throughout South Florida.
What You’ll Do:- Lead electrical MEP design for commercial, residential, institutional, and other building projects
- Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through construction administration
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and technical reviews
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Interface with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Help manage project schedules, budgets, and overall quality
- 7+ years of electrical MEP engineering experience
- PE preferred
- Strong building systems and electrical design experience
- Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- South Florida project experience is a plus
- Senior-level opportunity with strong growth potential
