the work you will dodot intern – d4 / district four / right of way
this is an exciting opportunity for any college or university student who plans to pursue a career in the fields of transportation, planning, public administration, engineering, finance, business administration, urban planning, logistics, contract administration or development, accounting, or related fields. This position will also shadow subject matter experts to help them familiarize themselves with other internal district work units and illustrate how they fit in with the overall production process.

annual salary range$17.25 / hour (20 hours/week)
your specific responsibilitiesgain knowledge, skills and experience in the transportation industry. Assist in various tasks across different departments. Engage in research and provide insights to support initiatives. Interact with executive leadership, team leaders, project managers, fellow interns, and external partners. Actively participate in team projects, contribute to agency goals, and assist in driving change within the organization.
review, gain general knowledge, and perform technical tasks within one of the following focus tracks: engineering exploring professional engineering roles; transportation exploring agency contribution to providing a safe, efficient transportation system; business exploring business side of running an agency; self-designed allowing self-determined focus areas.
