Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, attending in-office meetings as required.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

- Develop and maintain detailed financial checklists and reconcile accounts as needed.

- Implement automation strategies to streamline accounting operations and reduce manual tasks.

- Manage document control processes, including scanning, organizing, and compiling financial documents.

- Collaborate with team members to restructure departmental workflows for optimal performance.

- Utilize Net Suite to manage financial data and reporting, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on financial performance.

- Act as a key resource for internal financial audits and reviews. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Controller or similar financial role.

- Proficiency in Net Suite and familiarity with financial software systems.

- Strong knowledge of document control, scanning, and organizational techniques.

- Proven ability to manage month-end close processes and reconcile accounts.

- Experience in automating and streamlining financial operations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and attend in-office meetings as needed.
