. Your work will support key financial operations, helping ensure transparency, accuracy, and impactful insights that guide decision‑making for our programs.

In this role, you’ll support financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities while collaborating closely with project managers, finance leaders, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll help prepare financial statements, track performance against budgets, and synthesize financial data into clear, actionable insights. As a Financial Analyst at Jacobs, you’ll deepen your technical capabilities while contributing to meaningful work that supports our client programs and Jacobs’ broader mission.

What

You’ll Do
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly reports, and supporting documentation
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budget analyses for program and project teams
  • Track, analyze, and report on actual versus budgeted financial performance
  • Compile and synthesize financial data from multiple sources into clear, concise analyses
  • Support the development of operating plans, capital plans, and program budgets
  • Assist with internal controls, compliance documentation, and financial process improvements
  • Prepare written materials including financial summaries, memos, presentations, and supporting schedules
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses and reporting needs as requested
  • Manage the review and processing of contractor invoices and track associated expenditures and funding levels
Here’s what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, or reporting
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and basic internal controls
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting tools, or enterprise financial systems
  • Exposure to project cost accounting or program management environments
  • Prior experience supporting transportation, infrastructure, or public sector programs
  • CPA, CMA, or progress toward a professional certification

The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
