A well-established commercial specialty contractor operating in a project-driven environment across Florida. The organization generates $50M–$100M in annual revenue.

This consultant will step in to provide senior financial leadership while remaining highly hands-on in day-to-day accounting operations.

This is not a purely strategic advisory role — it requires someone willing to roll up their sleeves and support the team directly.

• Serve as interim financial leader during executive transition
• Oversee and manage the full month-end close process
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting
• Maintain and oversee Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting across active projects
• Prepare and/or review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as necessary
• Oversee audit coordination and maintain compliance readiness
• Provide structure, oversight, and mentorship to accounting and FP&A functions
• Support forecasting visibility and financial stability during the transition period
• Guide and stabilize a team of 4 accounting professionals and 2 FP&A team members

• Local candidate willing to work on-site five days per week in Fort Lauderdale
• Strong hands-on mentality — no task is beneath you
• Proven Experience as a CFO
• Private Equity experience is a big plus
• Deep experience in construction, industrial services, or project-based environments
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, & FP&A background

• Experience working with lenders on liquidity management and covenant compliance
