Financial Manager
A growing, $100M+ commercial services organization is seeking a hands‑on FP&A Manager to build and lead its financial planning & analysis function from the ground up. This is a high‑impact role for someone who enjoys turning financial data into clear business insight and partnering directly with leadership to influence strategy, operations, and performance.
You’ll be stepping into an environment where FP&A is expected to drive decisions — not just report numbers. The right person will bring strong modeling depth, operational curiosity, and the confidence to work side‑by‑side with leaders across the business.
What You’ll Do- Build and own budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
- Develop dynamic financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions
- Deliver clear variance analysis and performance insights to leadership
- Partner with operations to translate financial data into actionable business decisions
- Lead pricing, margin, labor efficiency, and overhead analytics
- Create and enhance dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting
- Ensure data integrity across ERP and reporting systems; improve financial data structure and usability
- Support capital planning, profitability initiatives, and margin improvement efforts
- Assist with acquisition modeling, due diligence, and integration analysis
- Establish scalable FP&A processes, tools, and reporting standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 7+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience; 10–15 years preferred
- Industry experience in construction, mechanical services, contracting, or similar operational environments strongly preferred
- Proven ability to partner with operations and senior leadership
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with ERP and BI tools
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting concepts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate finance into operational language
- Process‑improvement mindset with exposure to Lean/Six Sigma environments
