Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations Lead to lead our accounting and financial operations at our Tamarac headquarters. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, payroll administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of operational execution and strategic financial planning, with a focus on process optimization and cross‑functional collaboration.

This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, driving efficiency, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with business goals.

Development of financial forecasts and variance analysis, offering recommendations for corrective actions.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

Establish and enforce financial policies and internal controls.

Manage external audits and ensure timely tax filings (local, state, federal).

Monitor compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting obligations.

4. Payroll Oversight

Supervise payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages, bonuses, and with holdings.

Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements (W-2s, 1099s).

Oversee payroll system integrations and vendor management.

Lead and mentor accounting and payroll staff, promoting accountability, accuracy, and professional growth.

Oversee daily operations and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Conduct performance reviews and facilitate training as needed.

6. Process Optimization

Identify and implement process improvements in financial and payroll operations.

Reduce month‑end close timelines and enhance data integrity.

Stay current with changes in accounting and payroll standards to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

7. Strategic Financial Planning

Partner with leadership on long‑term financial planning and strategic initiatives.

Support business evaluations, investments, and cost‑saving opportunities through financial analysis.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred .

Experience:

7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.

Minimum 3–5 years in a finance or accounting leadership role.

Direct experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll management.

Proficient in Quick Books . Experience with other systems (e.g., SAP, Net Suite, Zoho) is a plus.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial compliance, and payroll laws.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
