South Florida Tax Partner

Role Overview

Cherry Bekaert, ranked among the largest assurance, tax and advisory firms in the U.S., seeks an experienced tax partner to grow and lead the $18m South Florida tax practice in Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

• Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross‑selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
• Execute firm and tax service line vision, strategy, and goals for the South Florida tax practice.
• Ensure discipline around execution of service line business processes and firm business practices for the market.
• Help manage utilization and productivity of professionals to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training, building a talent pipeline with requisite technical expertise.

• Active CPA and/or JD license required; MST or LLM a plus.
• 8+ years as a tax professional at a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a record of leadership, client service, and business expansion.
• Experience developing strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services and new client acquisition.
• Exceptional client service skills, ability to motivate and empower people and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Industry experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Technology/Life Sciences, Industrials/Consumer Goods, or similar is preferred; international experience a plus.
