** Role Overview
** Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm providing first-lien, senior debt financing to middle-market companies across the U.S. lower middle market, with investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale. The firm is hiring an Associate to join its Investment Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
** Key Responsibilities**- Evaluate new investment opportunities, including financial modeling, industry research, and management meetings
- Prepare and present analysis and materials for the firm's investment committee
- Monitor the firm's existing portfolio companies
- Support business development efforts, including industry conferences and meetings with private equity firms and bankers
** Qualifications**- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, buyside transaction advisory, or at a similar lender/private equity fund
- Strong academic record and excellent financial modeling skills
- Considerable deal execution experience
- Ability to work independently; willingness to travel
- Preference for candidates residing in or with ties to Chicago, Boston, or Fort Lauderdale
