Position Overview:The Analyst is a core member of our middle-market healthcare investment banking practice, responsible for the financial analysis, research, and transaction support that underpin every client engagement. Analysts work directly with Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors to deliver advisory services to healthcare organizations, physician groups, healthcare services companies, and related businesses across mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other strategic advisory engagements.
This position is intended for a candidate with one to three years of prior healthcare investment banking, healthcare transaction advisory, or comparable healthcare finance experience who is prepared to operate with meaningful independence on modeling, diligence, and process management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate combines rigorous technical and analytical capabilities with strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine interest in the healthcare industry and the firm's continued growth.
Location:Fort Lauderdale, Florida — This is an in-office position based in Cross Keys Capital's Fort Lauderdale office. Candidates must be based in South Florida or willing to relocate to the area.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Analysis & Valuation
- Build, maintain, and audit detailed financial models.
- Prepare valuation analyses using comparable public company and precedent transactions and clearly articulate the drivers and conclusions of that work.
- Analyze historical and projected financial performance, normalize earnings and adjusted EBITDA, and identify the operational and reimbursement dynamics driving results.
- Ensure the accuracy, internal consistency, and defensibility of all quantitative work product prior to review by senior team members.
- Support all aspects of transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, preparation of marketing materials, buyer and investor outreach, and coordination among clients, counter parties, and other advisors.
- Draft confidential information memoranda, management presentations, teasers, board materials, and other transaction-related documents.
- Manage buyer and investor tracking, outreach logs, and status reporting, and maintain virtual data rooms and diligence request lists throughout live processes.
- Coordinate diligence responses among clients, legal counsel, quality of earnings providers, and other advisors, escalating issues to the deal team promptly and with a recommended course of action.
- Assist in meeting transaction milestones, timelines, and deliverables efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare accurate, well-organized materials and analyses that support client decision-making throughout the transaction process.
- Participate in client calls and meetings, take clear notes, and complete follow-up items on a timely basis.
- Develop a working familiarity with client operations, financial reporting, and strategic objectives in order to anticipate the information the deal team will need.
- Support senior bankers in identifying, developing, and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Prepare pitch materials, industry analyses, market maps, valuation benchmarking, and client proposals.
- Conduct target screening and company profiling to support origination efforts across healthcare subsectors.
