Seeking an Investment Research Associate for our client. This role is a research-focused opportunity for an analytical professional interested in building their experience across alternative and private market investments.
This role will support the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of investment opportunities through qualitative and quantitative research, due diligence, financial analysis and preparation of investment materials.
Responsibilities- Conduct qualitative and quantitative investment research and analysis.
- Perform due diligence on existing and prospective investment opportunities.
- Research and evaluate investment managers, funds and market trends.
- Prepare and maintain investment research reports and supporting documentation.
- Participate in calls and meetings with external investment managers and other industry professionals.
- Review investment materials and identify relevant changes, risks and developments.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations and other materials for senior investment professionals.
- Assist with preparation for internal investment meetings and follow up on resulting action items.
- Maintain investment and market data used for performance analysis and benchmarking.
- Monitor existing investments and provide ongoing research and analytical support.
- Assist with broader market and industry research projects.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of experience within financial services, investment management, research or a related area.
- Understanding of investment concepts and financial markets.
- Exposure to alternative investments, private markets or investment funds is strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- CFA, CAIA or progress toward a relevant professional designation is a plus.
