Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Room position requiring independent trauma care and strong EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department setting
- Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) with every other weekend required
- Care for high-acuity trauma patients in the Trauma Bay
- Uses Cerner and Epic electronic medical records
- P/F EKG testing and Basic Arrhythmia assessment required prior to start
- Locals considered within a 60-mile radius at a different rate
- Responsible for independent emergency nursing care of trauma patients
- Must complete pre-start modules and orientation documentation
- Smoke-free work environment
- Rehire policy requires former permanent employees to have been separated for at least two years
- No declinations allowed for vaccination requirements
- Dress code for scrubs or uniform will be provided by the facility
- Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA required
- TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- 3-5 years of Level I Trauma ER experience required
- Must be able to function independently caring for Level I trauma patients
- Degree from an accredited nursing school or an institution approved by FBON with two years recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital
- Experience with both Cerner and Epic EMR systems required
- Candidates must pass EKG/dysrhythmia testing with high accuracy prior to start
- No degrees from Operation Nightingale Schools accepted
- Must provide proof of vaccination status
