We are seeking an experienced Epic HB & Charging Analyst to join our Hospital IT team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role primarily supports Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and charging workflows, ensuring accurate charge capture, compliant billing practices, and optimized revenue cycle performance.

The analyst will collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Patient Access, Clinical Operations, and Compliance teams to maintain efficient billing operations and drive system enhancements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Epic HB and charging, along with hands‑on experience supporting hospital‑based billing environments.

• Provide application support, configuration, build, and optimization for Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and charging workflows.
• Support charge capture processes, including charge router rules, charge review work queues, edits, and reconciliation processes.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle and operational leadership to analyze billing and charging workflows and implement effective Epic HB solutions.
• Troubleshoot billing discrepancies, claim edits, and charging issues; perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support HB‑related upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory updates, including payer‑driven or compliance changes.
• Conduct testing, validation, and documentation of system changes related to HB and charging.
• Develop and maintain workflow documentation, build specifications, and end‑user training materials.
• Participate in on‑site meetings, design sessions, and operational support initiatives.
• Provide after‑hours or on‑call support as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Essential: 6 years of experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience supporting Epic HB and charging in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle workflows, including charge capture, claim edits, reimbursement methodologies, and billing compliance.

• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing certification.
• Experience with HB/PB charge integration and downstream claim processing.
• Experience supporting system upgrades, go‑lives, or revenue cycle optimization initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting hospital billing and charging workflows.
