• Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify high priority patients to the triage nurse, based on pre-determined criteria.
• Monitors the waiting room and identifies patient in need for re-assessment by the triage nurse, based on pre-determined criteria.
• Recognizes and responds to monitor alarms and/or changes in patient cardiac rhythm, and assures that RN or charge nurse is notified and aware.

• HS Diploma or GED from an accredited school is required
• Certificate from Paramedic School is required.
• Willingness to cross train as Unit Secretary
• Previous experience working as a Paramedic is required. Experience with starting IVs is necessary.

• Paramedic License required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS required
