Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Physician Business Operations and Coding, the Manager of Revenue Integrity is responsible for monitoring and maintaining an efficient operational workflow for day-to-day operations in the areas of front-end revenue cycle and coding audits. These functions include oversight of coding audits, education, accounts receivable management, cash management and customer service inquiries for services rendered throughout Broward Health.

Performs in-depth analysis of patient clinical and billing data to identify areas of improvement as it relates to documentation and coding to maximize revenue and cash opportunity. Collaborates with operational leaders and clinical teams on compliance, education, accuracy in charge capture, documentation, coding, and improvement in the revenue cycle processes as identified through audits and root cause analysis. Works closely with clinical areas to effectively document services performed and understand relationship of documentation, medical necessity, coding and charging for all services provided.

Completes assigned reports timely and accurately. May be required to travel between locations. Works with other key stakeholders regarding impacts of system change requests and upgrades on charging processes to ensure continued capture accuracy. Provides oversight of reconciliation processes for all assigned departments; ensuring daily and appropriate monthly reconciliations are occurring.

* Bachelor’s degree in related field.

• Five (5) years of related experience in healthcare professional billing revenue cycle management.

• RHIT Registered Health Information Technician; RHIA Registered Health Information Administrator; CCS Certified Coding Specialist; or CPC Certified Professional Coder, preferred.
• Healthcare Compliance Certification preferred.
