Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Physician Business Operations and Coding, the Manager of Revenue Integrity is responsible for monitoring and maintaining an efficient operational workflow for day‑to‑day operations in the areas of front‑end revenue cycle and coding audits. The role includes oversight of coding audits, education, accounts receivable management, cash management, and customer service inquiries for services rendered throughout Broward Health.
Responsibilities- Perform in‑depth analysis of patient clinical and billing data to identify improvement opportunities related to documentation and coding.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and clinical teams on compliance, education, accuracy in charge capture, documentation, and coding.
- Identify and drive improvements in the revenue cycle through audits and root cause analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation of services performed and understand the relationship of documentation, medical necessity, coding, and charging for all services provided.
- Complete assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Travel between locations as required.
- Work with key stakeholders on impacts of system change requests and upgrades to maintain capture accuracy.
- Provide oversight of reconciliation processes for all assigned departments, ensuring daily and monthly reconciliations are performed.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - Experience:
Five (5) years of related experience in healthcare professional billing revenue‑cycle management. - Credentials:
Preferred RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC certification. Healthcare compliance certification is preferred. - Knowledge of front‑end revenue cycle, coding audits, and documentation best practices.
