Job Overview

The Lobby Attendant cleans lobby, restrooms, and public areas while ensuring safe and efficient compliance with company policies, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. The role promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management, as well as any deviations from policies or brand standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Walk all assigned spaces at the beginning and end of each shift, removing newspapers, trash, emptying ash receptacles, and noting areas requiring immediate cleaning.
  • Clean assigned public areas—including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning, and trash removal. Clean public elevators, public restrooms, and stock supplies. Perform quality checks on public space televisions, telephones, and lamps.
  • Clean assigned offices as directed.
  • Use cleaning equipment and supplies appropriately and properly.
  • Promptly report emergencies, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems, and safety hazards to housekeeping management.
  • Submit all articles left in public spaces to Lost and Found for housekeeping management.
  • Perform duties of Houseperson, Room Attendant, or Laundry Attendant when assigned.
Skills And Abilities
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related role is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, thorough knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete assigned rooms, organize housekeeping carts, and perform all other tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
  • Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Most work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
