Location details: Fort Lauderdale Hotel. Opening in Fall 2025, Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new F&B options, a Natural Spring-inspired full-service spa and an entertainment pedestrian plaza with high-end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and promenade. The hotel will be connected to Broward County Convention Center, near Port Everglades cruise terminal and Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Job Description: The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story property with 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a rooftop bar, pool, spa, fitness center and over 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including ballrooms and breakout rooms. The role includes turndown services of guest rooms and any additional duties as assigned in accordance with Omni standards.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responds to all guest requests appropriately.
- Always greet our guests warmly with a smile, call them by name whenever possible.
- Provide turndown services for assigned number of guest rooms.
- Provide additional amenities and housekeeping services for VIP guests.
- Perform all functions of a Room Attendant and Housekeeping Houseperson as needed and warmly greet all guests.
- Provide full servicing of guest rooms upon request.
- Offer assistance and information to guests.
- Remove room service trays from guest rooms.
- Assist with public areas when needed.
- Restock caddies, linen, and refill chemical bottles for Guest Room Attendants.
- Keep all housekeeping and linen areas clean and tidy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to maintain a 4-diamond level of service.
- Able to work with Management on special projects.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (answer basic questions about services and amenities, give directions to guests).
- Ability to push and pull housekeeping supply cart.
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion of arms and hands.
- Telephone, push-to-talk radio, cart, vacuum, mop and broom, duster, and chemicals.
