Opening in Fall 2025, Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new food and beverage options, a Natural Spring inspired full‑service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high‑end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces.
The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29‑story hotel located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre‑function meeting space with waterfront views.
To support the Director of Food & Beverage with the performances of Outlets, Banquets, Stewarding, and Culinary operations. Responsible for maintenance of established service standards, leadership development and financial management.
Responsibilities- Consistent maintenance of/and refinement of service standards
- Correlation of P & L and financial information monthly
- Maintenance of adequate service wares of outlets and banquets through communication and coordination with Executive Steward
- Assist outlet leadership and culinary leadership in refinement of successful daily menu specials
- Lead coordination and communication between C, CS and F & B teams
- Assure consistent maintenance of corporate Food and Beverage systems and control procedures
- Assure management development through well‑planned cross‑training programs
- Review all purchase order requests of managers prior to submittal to the Food and Beverage Director
- Maintenance of accurate inventories
- Consistent maintenance of environments of all outlets and related areas
- Maintenance of all outlet and banquet key control procedures
- Assure forecasts of daily linen consumption and communicate to Third Party vendor
- Monitor serviceability of front‑of‑house uniforms, forecast uniform consumption and coordinate purchase schedule
- Supervises EOM inventories and coordinates with finance controller
- Assures adherence to cashier reconciliation of all over/short, missing check reports, full bottle sales slips, check issue and return procedures and other related cashier reporting and accountability procedures
- Assures outlet pars of all china, glass, silver and linen are at identified levels monthly
- Attends daily stand‑ups and weekly food & beverage meetings
- Participates in Key Result Area planning, organizing, and execution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Food & Beverage Management in an upscale hotel environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent preferred
- Banquet Management experience required
- Strong knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and promotions
- Strong working knowledge of Micros POS
- Ability to make quick decisions in high‑stress situations
- Pleasant and positive personality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Position requires a minimum of four years progressive experience in Food & Beverage Management, with at least two of these years in a leadership position in a full service, four‑diamond hotel operations. Large convention hotel experience preferred. Must have experience managing banquet and outlet operations.
- College degree preferred.
- Must have extensive hands‑on food and beverage knowledge and experience including managing multiple outlets, banquets, inventories, menu development and P&L responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, checkbook management, productivity, inventory controls, P&L analysis, food and beverage cost controls.
- Strong computer and technical skills to include Micros and online purchasing systems.
