General

Job Description:

Inventory Technician

A key member of the Customer Service Team, the Inventory Technician reports to the Senior Account Manager and works closely with the Broward County On-Site Account Manager on day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on customer service position located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Duties
  • Coordinate the flow of goods daily between jail locations and field recoveries.
  • Manage order fulfillment through Track Group’s inventory management system.
  • Maintain adequate on-site inventory of GPS devices and equipment.
  • Accurately forecast demand to avoid last-minute orders and supply-chain stress.
  • Product cleaning and triage.
  • Provide customer-specific return reports upon request.
  • Identify and suggest operational improvements for local operations.
  • Implement procedural changes and improvement initiatives.
  • Local responsibility for quality and quality control.

Competencies
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent phone etiquette.
  • Proficient in data gathering and statistical analysis in MS Excel or equivalent programs.
  • Willingness to travel to local jails and correctional facilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and juggle several tasks simultaneously.
Employment Details

Schedule: Part-Time:
Monday–Friday 8:00 am–1:00 pm

Compensation: $17/hour

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and completion skills.
  • Excellent internal and external communication to promote teamwork and customer retention.
  • Customer service experience with technical support preferred.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with focus on customer service and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with Cellular/GPS technology preferred.
  • Technical/Computer Software Proficiency required, including:
    • Microsoft Office
    • Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting technical/computer/cellular issues remotely.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual – Spanish (optional).
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
Travel Requirements
  • Extensive travel up to 50% within assigned accounts;
    Saturday/Sunday travel may be required.
