Analytics Data Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for an Analytics Data Engineer to build the data infrastructure that powers Admiral's decision‑making, product analytics, and marina intelligence platform. You'll design and maintain the pipelines, warehouses, and dashboards that transform raw operational data into actionable insights. This is a foundational role — you'll shape how Admiral understands its business, measures its impact, and delivers data‑driven value to marina partners.

• Build Pipelines:
  Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from diverse sources—marina systems, communication platforms, payment processors, and IoT sensors. Ensure data is clean, reliable, and available when needed.
• Model Data:
  Design dimensional models and data marts that make complex operational data accessible and queryable. Build a data warehouse architecture that scales with Admiral's growth into new markets.
• Enable Analytics:
  Create dashboards, reports, and self‑service analytics tools that empower product, operations, and leadership teams to make data‑driven decisions. Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics.
• Ensure Quality:
  Implement data quality monitoring, testing, and alerting. Build trust in Admiral's data by making it accurate, consistent, and well‑documented.

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing (Big Query, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
• Experience with data pipeline tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Tableau, or similar).
• Understanding of data modeling best practices (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business questions into data solutions.
