Job Description

In this role, you will act as the central interface between sales, customer success, and product teams. You play a crucial role in the early to mid-phases of the sales pipeline and support a seamless transition to implementation to ensure both technical and professional alignment with our customers in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. As a sales consultant and technical architect, you will work closely with account executives to develop value-oriented discovery processes and business cases.

At the same time, you will coordinate with the customer success team to define the prerequisites and scope of implementation after contract conclusion. You will support interested parties in understanding the strategic value of structured content platforms in regulatory, clinical, CMC, and other pharmaceutical use cases of Docuvera. Furthermore, you will ensure that proposed solutions meet the requirements for enterprise-wide implementations, particularly with regard to security, compliance, metadata design, and structured reuse of content.

It is a consulting pre-sales role without direct sales responsibility. The position is essential for the successful completion of complex sales projects with multiple stakeholders, often in the context of global pharmaceutical companies and SaaS investments in the six- to seven-digit range. The position is located in Gütersloh but can be exercised up to 100% remotely.

Your Tasks

  • Pre-sales and collaboration with sales
  • Collaboration with account executives to conduct early discovery phases and align Docuvera solutions with customer requirements in the areas of labeling, CMC, clinical, safety, quality, and medical affairs
  • Independently conducting customized product demonstrations, technical presentations, and business case development in collaboration with product marketing and solutions consulting
  • Function as a technical and regulatory contact person throughout the sales process to support Info Sec, IT, and procurement reviews
  • Technical architecture & scope definition
  • Leading early architecture workshops to define integrations, content reuse strategies, structured authoring, and metadata concepts
  • Supporting proof-of-concepts and sandbox environments by configuring and demonstrating customer-specific platform workflows
  • Collaboration with customer success teams to assess implementation readiness and define the initial project scope, particularly for large enterprise programs
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Participating in global workshops, industry events, webinars, and customer advisory activities as a subject matter expert
  • Tracking deal progress, identifying technical obstacles, and coordinating with engineering and product teams regarding the product roadmap
  • Responsibility for RFP/RFI responses and support for Info Sec reviews and validation documentation in the regulated content environment

Qualifications

Professional knowledge and experience

  • 7–12 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: solution consulting or sales engineering for B2B SaaS regulatory information management or digital transformation in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Technical product management or implementation consulting experience
  • Experience with structured content platforms and/or classic content management systems such as Veeva, Open Text, or CARA is advantageous
