Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with a strong background in the telecommunications and service provider industry to lead the architecture and development of enterprise connectivity solutions. This individual will be responsible for defining and evolving carrier-grade network service offerings, supporting large enterprise customers, and designing scalable architectures that leverage open standards while avoiding vendor lock-in.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing and selling enterprise networking solutions such as Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, VPLS, EPL, EVC, and SD-WAN services within a service provider environment. This role will partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to create differentiated managed network solutions for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities- Define and maintain the strategic architecture roadmap for enterprise network services.
- Design carrier-grade solutions utilizing technologies including:
- MPLS
- Carrier Ethernet
- VPLS
- EPL
- EVPN
- VXLAN
- SD-WAN
- BGP
- Develop and evolve enterprise connectivity portfolios targeted at large commercial and enterprise customers.
- Serve as the technical authority supporting managed service and carrier Ethernet offerings.
- Create scalable architectures that prioritize open standards and interoperability across multiple vendor platforms.
- Drive architectural decisions that reduce vendor dependency and avoid proprietary technology lock-in.
- Define network abstraction, automation, and orchestration strategies leveraging multi-vendor ecosystems.
- Collaborate with sales and solution engineering teams during customer engagements, RFP responses, and strategic pursuits.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend service portfolio enhancements.
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and lifecycle management of services.
- Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and technical governance processes across enterprise networking solutions.

- 10+ years of experience in network architecture, enterprise architecture, or telecommunications solution architecture.
- Experience working for a telecommunications carrier, managed services provider, ISP, or service provider environment.
- Deep expertise in:
- MPLS
- Carrier Ethernet services
- VPLS
- EPL
- EVC
- Proven experience developing and managing Carrier Ethernet service portfolios.
- Strong understanding of MEF standards and Carrier Ethernet service frameworks.
- Experience designing and selling network solutions to large enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-vendor network architecture and interoperability.
- Experience designing networks that leverage open standards rather than proprietary technologies.
- Strong understanding of network automation and orchestration platforms, including tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. MEF certification or extensive MEF standards experience.
- Experience with SD-WAN platforms in multi-vendor environments.
- Knowledge of disaggregated networking models, white-box switching, and network operating systems.
- Experience architecting managed network services and enterprise service delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with SDN controllers supporting multi-vendor APIs and orchestration platforms.
- Background supporting product strategy and go-to-market initiatives within a service provider organization.
