Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, from initiation to trial and wrap up. This role will require drafting legal documents, preparing for depositions and court proceedings, and maintaining case files.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.Conduct extensive legal research to gather relevant information for cases.Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal correspondences.Organize and manage documents in a paper or electronic filing systems.Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by drafting responses to motions, preparing exhibits, and organizing evidence.Coordinate logistics for trial such as reserving space, coordinating witnesses, managing exhibits, and other necessary tasks.Attend trials and provide assistance to attorneys, which includes taking notes, organizing exhibits, and managing witnesses.Maintain communication with clients and keep them updated about the case status.Provide administrative support to attorneys such as calendar management and client billing.Qualifications
Experience as a paralegal, preferably with a defense law firm.Proficient in legal research and document drafting.Extensive knowledge of legal terminology and principles.Ability to analyze legal documents and spot inconsistencies or errors.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, attorneys, and court officials.Proficient in the use of legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.High level of discretion and confidentiality for clients and firm information.Interested in hearing more?
