Overview
The Ankaa (a division of Southern) Scheduling Coordinator plays a central role in supporting logistics and operational flow across Ankaa’s supply chain network. While the primary focus is on scheduling inbound and outbound transportation, this role is designed to be flexible and may include broader support across supply chain operations, vendor coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities- Scheduling & Coordination.
- Manage daily and weekly transportation schedules for Ankaa fleet and third-party carriers.
- Confirm dock appointments and coordinate with warehouse clerks and drivers.
- Monitor and update scheduling systems such as Ryder, WMI, and other scheduling platforms.
- Assist with documentation, appointment confirmations, and load tracking.
- Support onboarding and setup of new suppliers, including EDI and master data accuracy.
- Help resolve scheduling conflicts and elevate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team huddles and workshops to improve scheduling workflows and SOPs.
- Provide general support to SCM initiatives as needed, including reporting, analysis, and special projects.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, scheduling, or supply chain coordination. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with scheduling platforms and ERP systems (Ryder, WMI). (Nice to have)
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple functions.
- Experience in wine & spirits logistics or regulated commodities.
- Understanding of Ankaa-specific SOPs and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and scheduling tools.
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
